It is with thoughtful sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Eric.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife Agnes (nee Stavert), and both parents Roland and Matilda. As well as his brothers Charlie (Edna), Lloyd (Mary) and his recently deceased sister Mavis (Kenneth).
He will be missed but not forgotten by his two children Caroline (the late Errol Battie) and Sandra (Brent). His beloved grandchildren James and Melissa. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Eric moved from his birth home of Seaford Town, Westmoreland, Jamaica to Canada in 1951. He was in constant pursuit of knowledge; a wordsmith in English and Latin, a trail blazer in computers and knew Y2K was going to be an issue long before it was talked about, a golf enthusiast, and musically inclined so that he could pick up any instrument and play as well as carry a tune.
May the journey ahead bring you peace.
