Ene passed away peacefully after a mercifully brief illness with pancreatic cancer. A month ago she was walking 45 minutes a day and 3 weeks ago she was diagnosed. She was a wonderful, caring person and will be truly missed by the many people she touched. She was passionate about the Estonian culture and community, involved in many areas. She loved Guiding, camping and teaching. Ene always put other people's needs ahead of her own and even during her last days, she wanted to make sure that everyone else was all right. Forever the optimist, her mantra was "vaateme mis homme toob" or "let's see what tomorrow brings". Wise words.

Per Ene's wishes we are not having a funeral. However, we will have a celebration of life later this summer. She did ask that you remember a special time spent with her, and share a smile.
