In memory of

Qumars Naeini

January 6, 1948 -  April 2, 2024

Mr. Qumars Naeini passed away on April 2, 2024, in Toronto at the age of 76 due to complications caused by cancer. Qumars was a loving father, husband, brother and friend. He is survived by his loving family; his wife Effi and his daughters Afrouz & Arezou, his sister Parvaneh, his brothers Abbas and Amid Naeini.

Born in January 1948 in Tehran, Qumars' professional life was centered on driving all operational aspects of published media (magazines and newspapers) namely Sanaate-Haml-O- Naghl, Payam-e-Emrooz, Zaman & Safar, as well as driving the advertising arm of Iran's highest-circulated newspaper, Hamshahri. He was a key figure behind the successful operation of multiple leading publications in Iran, a renowned thought-leader and a respected mentor to many.

Qumars was known for his leadership style, his relentless drive for excellence, his optimism, sense of humor and love of people. We cherish the profound lessons he taught us through his example — to live with passion, laughter and generosity. His spirit lives on not just in the memories we hold dear but in the love that binds us together, now and always.

I know Q since 1964 when started university and he was still at high school. As a student, I was studying with my classmates, including Abbas and therefore, had many lunches and dinners at their home seeing Q more often. When Q immigrated to Canada, we had more opportunities to meet and greet.
His very friendly and calm character was the first impression that you will get when meeting him. He was a very dear friend and his loss has an enormous impact on his family and friends.
Our deepest condolences to Effat, his lovely wife, Afrouz and Arezoo, his dear daughters, Parvaneh, his caring sister, and Abbas and Amid, his supporting and caring brothers, and all friends and other related families. “yadash geramy va ravanash shad”. Jahani Family
