Ena May Grant

March 1, 1927 -  October 18, 2021

Ena May Grant (nee Nelson) passed away at the age of 94. She was a gracious and dignified woman who faced challenges head on and placed family first. She was much loved and will be dearly missed by her relatives, friends, neighbours and caregivers.

Survived by brother James (Jean) Nelson and nieces and nephews in the UK, US, Canada and Jamaica; pre-deceased by siblings Vincent, Gloria, Thelma, and Oswald.

Leaves behind husband Lionel Grant; BFF Elise Hyde and pre-deceased by BFF Harriett Dacres of Jamaica.

Also survived by Children: Donny, Carol (Bertie), Michael, Yola (Rainer), Lauris, (Patricia), Lumumba (Yvonne), Peter (Judy), Harriett and pre-deceased by Laniel (Lois). Grandchildren: Raquelle, Nicholas, Adriel, Mike, Lori Ann, Leon, Leah, Phillip, Ruth, David, Adrian, Malcolm, Miranda, Princeton, Pierresen, Paige, Janita, and Blake. Great-grandchildren: Nathan, John-Paul, David, Jael (Raquelle); Jenai (Nicholas); Preston and Elliot (Leah); Liam, Emmett and Avery (Leon); Dominic and Mila (Phillip); and, Kadence (Adrian).

Mother Grant or Missionary Grant, to her church family, was known for her warmth and her enthusiastic greetings. She will be missed by her Bibleway, Our Father’s House and Rest Tabernacle church families.

The family would like to thank the dedicated 3rd floor staff at Ina Grafton Gage Home in Scarborough for their excellent care and attention to our mother over the last 7 years.

Mother Ena Grant was a wonderful woman of God. She love the word of God and she was always encouraging us to live for Jesus.
I use to visit her at her apartment and we usually have a good time singing and reading the word of God.
She will be missed and I know her soul is resting in the arm of Jesus.
