Emily died peacefully at home at the young age of 100 with her daughter, Karen and her son, Walter at her side. Emily was predeceased by her husband, Karl Sr. and by her eldest son, Karl Jr. and her son, Jurgen. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Demus) and her son, Walter. She was the proud Oma to her grandson, Michael Walz and Steven Walz. Emily worked at Eaton’s Shopper’s World in 1980’s and Sears.
Emily lived a full and active life, she enjoyed travelling and cruises. She loved family get-togethers and especially Christmas. She was an amazing cook and loved to bake German cheesecake and cookies. She was very outgoing, energetic and independent woman who enjoyed meeting her old friends. We will miss her dearly.
Resting at PINE HILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough on Tuesday, December 14th from 10-12pm. Funeral Service at 12pm. Burial to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment and adhere to provincial, local and Regulatory Directives; All attendees planning to attend any indoor funeral related event (i.e. Visitations, and/or Funeral Service) MUST provide Proof of Vaccination Status and Valid Government Issued ID to enter the facility.
