It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emily (Lee) Cross on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving Mother of Jim Anderson (Cheryl) and proud Grandmother of Megan; devoted wife to her late husband Fred (1989) and predeceased by her siblings Ann, John, Mary, Alice, Pauline & Morris.
Lee will be remembered for her devotion to her family as well as the Pentecostal Church, where she volunteered her time and enjoyed many cherished friendships.
Lee’s love of cooking & baking was evident in every dish she made, and she was always eager to share new recipes with friends and family. She was also an avid gardener and took great pride in her flower beds and vegetable gardens. Lee & Fred turned many heads with their beautiful dancing skills over the years.
The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby, where Lee spent her final years. Their dedication and compassion were truly appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Visitation will commence on Saturday October 30, 2021 from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home, 1057 Brock Road in Pickering (just South of the 401 on the east side). A graveside service will be held at Yonge Mills Cemetery just outside of Brockville on Monday November 8, 2021 at 11:00am.
