June 1, 1957 - February 18, 2024

Elzbieta Maria (Madej) Cius , 66, of Toronto, died Sunday February 18, 2024 at Etobicoke General after a brief illness.

She was born in Poland, to Stanislaw and Jadwiga Madej who predeceased her in death, as well as her brother Stanislaw and sister Halina Janiszewski.

Elizabeth proudly worked for the Toronto Transit Commission for over 23 years, recently retirering in July 2023...

Through the TTC she tirelessly volunteered for the United Way, even climbing the CN Tower multiple times to raise money for a worthy cause.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Eric (Nancy), her daughter Diana (Josh), grandchildren Kaya, Gage, Max, Evan, and Tai. As well as many cousins, neices, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Dorothy Ley Hospice foundation or to the Canadian cancer society is requested.

Elizabeth was one in a million, the mold was broken after she entered this realm and there will never be another as unique as her. Elizabeth will surely never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Elizabeth you were a joy to know and work with. Condolences to all her friends and family.
