In memory of

Elsie Theresa Jackson

February 7, 1925 -  October 5, 2024

Elsie Theresa Jackson age 99, of Pickering peacefully passed away on October 5 2024 surrounded by her family.

Elsie shared a deep and abiding love with The Almighty God. She was born on February 7 1925 in Kingston, Jamaica. She was the daughter of Lynette Shaw and Wilfred Garrel, she was cherished by her brothers and sisters.

While in Elsie company she would reflect on her journey with God always encouraging us by spreading the gospel. It was beautiful to see her devotion to God it was unlike no other. She would love to tell her old time stories and her and her grandmother in the garden back home in Jamaica.

As a young lady living in Jamaica Elsie was taught by her Aunty B how to sew. Elsie made a beautiful career from her sewing even though her dream was to be a teacher, Elsie loved to be a leader in Christ.

Elsie made the decision to leave Jamaica and migrate to Toronto to follow her children path to be long side them during their journey.

Elsie's legacy will be remembered by her children, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was my mentor, taught me how to sew, and up to today I still have the shirt pattern she helped me make, just one pattern for small, medium and large shirts by means of making folds in the pattern. Sleep well my Aunt (Mama) until we meet again. Will love and forever cherish you in my heart. 💜
