In memory of

Elsie Jones

October 6, 1928 -  September 7, 2021

Elsie Jones, 92 passed away peacefully at Golden Years Nursing Home on September 7, 2021 surrounded by Her daughter Carol Anne Boyes by Her side...our family is broken with sorrow at Her passing.
She was born to Edward and Lily Smith, both immigrants from Ireland. She was the first born child in Canada. She is survived by Her sister Joyce, Edna and brother Teddy. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews...Cathy, Ronda, Leanne, Debbie, Ben, Robin and Doug with many second and third nieces and nephews.
Elsie had two daughters, Carol and Arlene who she adored and loved more than Her own life. She was a devoted grandmother to Cindy, Neil, Susie and Lisa, a great grandmother to Matthew, Adam, Richard, William, Maxwell, Jayden and Maddox and a great great grandmother to Jackson and Dylan.
She had a love for life, family and friends. If She wasn't with family and friends, you could see Her volunteering at the Church, walking and socializing with Her neighbours, watching sports, including Her beloved Blue Jays or Toronto Maple Leafs. She was an avid golfer, curler and ball room dancer. She travelled the world and encouraged others to do so saying the world was too beautiful to ignore. She lived Her 92 years to the fullest and will be remembered as the sweet, kind, soft spoken lady from down the street. Everyone that had the honour and privilege of meeting Her....loved Her instantly.
She is now in the Kingdom of Heaven with Her late husbands, youngest daughter Arlene and nephew Micheal.
Donations can be made to Golden Years Retirement Home in Cambridge or to the Alztimers Society of Canada in Elsie Jones name...

You were my everything. I loved you so very much. You thought me so much that I will never forget. You were an amazing great grandma to my boys they love more than words can say. You may be gone in body but you will never ever be forgotten.

I have very fond memories of going to the Ex with Elsie and my Nana and of spending Christmas Eves with her at my Nana's house. She was always smiling, laughing and fun. May she rest in peace.
