In memory of

Else Hildegard Droege

May 4, 1933 -  November 8, 2022

Else was predeceased by her husband Walter, and leaves behind her son Stephan, daughter-in-law Jacoba, grandsons Maximilian and Nicolas, and nephews Andreas and Florian.

Else was born in Munich, Germany, and immigrated to Montreal, Canada, in 1956.
In 1958 she married Walter Droege, and in 1959 she gave birth to a son, Stephan Georg Droege. She proudly became a Canadian citizen in 1979.

Else was a longtime and loyal employee at Robin Hood Multifoods, managing the Export Division from 1962 to her retirement in 1989. After retirement, she spent several years volunteering at REENA to support people living with developmental disabilities. She was a passionate gardener and spent hours tending to her flowers. Else adored her cat companions and enjoyed nature. She was also an ardent supporter of the arts, loved jazz and opera, and delighted in attending concerts and the theatre.

The family would like to thank the Markham Stouffville Hospital and Home Care Central staff for their compassionate care.

Else supported many not-for-profit groups over her lifetime and had two favourite organizations. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a small donation to either:
Covenant House or World Wildlife Fund Canada: You can find the direct links under the "Donations" tab.
