In memory of

Elleni Andreadis

May 10, 1943 -  October 28, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elleni Andreadis at the age of 81, on October 28th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Elleni was born on May 10th, 1943, in Agia Paraskevi, Florina, Greece, to her Loving parents Mary & Kosta Servinis. Elleni had 2 sisters, Ekaterina and Zoe, and 1 brother, Phillip. In her early 20s, half of her family migrated to Australia, while herself and her brother migrated to Canada to start a new life and have a family.

Elleni was a Mother of two, loving her daughter, Gina, and her son, Gus, unconditionally. She was also a proud Grandmother who adored her granddaughter Alyssa. She prioritized them with fierce focus & attention and protected them through thick and thin. She was their best friend and strongest advocate.

Elleni was forever young! Her smile lit up any room and her eyes were bright exuding an intelligence, quick wit and compassion. She was the epitomy of selfless love and this could be seen with her relentless humble heart where everyone in her life felt special.

Elleni was an amazing person and had a fun loving personality that no one can deny. She enjoyed a good laugh and had a flair for dancing (especially to Greek music!). She found joy in gardening and her home grown tomatoes were absolutely delicious! Her culinary skills were superb producing exquisite lasagnas, scrumptious cabbage rolls, and who could forget those stuffed peppers! And more often than not, the entire house smelled of sweet home made bread that she'd joyfully bake for family and friends.

She made hard work look easy. Throughout her life she worked two jobs, and never complained. Her energy and stamina was truly a force to be reckoned with. Heading out to work every day, running to catch buses no matter what the weather was like, solidified her commitment and sense of purpose allowing her to find dignity in her independence.

She walked tall and proud emanating a radiant glow of wisdom and contentment. She loved life with a deep inward poise and exuded profound gratitude in all aspects that life had to offer.

She worked hard and played harder! She loved to travel with her partner George - taking in the sights at Niagara Falls, dancing the night away on Cruise Ships, taking lavish sun soaked trips to Cuba, and of course being the life of the party at the Wedding they attended in Greece.
George and Elleni were no strangers when it came to being Snowbirds, as every winter, for many years, they looked forward to escaping the cold Canadian winters from November to April, opting for Palm trees in the sunny allure of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There they lounged on beaches in the daytime, and enjoyed being Shuffleboard Champions in the evenings!

In her spare time, she occasionally frequented casinos to try her luck on those slot machines. She also enjoyed taking long walks and picnicking with friends in the summertime.
Her spunk and boundless energy knew no limits, and she will be greatly missed.

Elleni has now entered the gates of Heaven to join her beloved son Gus, and her late husband Stavros.

Elleni is survived by her partner George, her daughter Gina, and her granddaughter Alyssa. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.

The viewing/visitation will take place at Elgin Mills Cemetary on Saturday November 2nd from 12pm-1pm. The Funeral will be from 1pm-2pm, and the burial for Elleni and her son, Gus, will be from 2pm-3pm.

My deepest condolences to Alyssa, Gina and George.
Elleni was always so dear to me and the most AMAZING Grandmother to my daughter Alyssa.
She went above and beyond to cherish and love her and I will be forever grateful.
She was such a kind and giving person and I had nothing but admiration for her strength and joy for life.
She found beauty in everything and everyone.
She will forever hold a special place in my heart ❤️ Rest in peace with Gus xoxo

We were privileged to meet her at our son’s wedding in Greece. She was the life of the party her energy, grace her welcoming smile and personality radiated to those around her. Even though this was the only time we met her in person, we felt one like we were one of hers, she and her now late sister Katina (Freda’s mum) were amazing together. They are now together in a piece full place. She will be missed may she rest in peace and her memory live forever. Our deepest condolences to the family.
Love Freda and Kostas.
