Ellen Leung

December 22, 1964 -  December 4, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Ellen Po Wa Leung on December 4, 2020 at MacKenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.

She was born and studied in Hong Kong until 1984 when she left Hong Kong to study in Canada where she met her husband, Gino Yan. They were married on May 15, 1993, in Toronto, Ontario and had their first and only child, Chloe Yan on August 22, 1998.

Ellen was the loving wife of Gino and the devoted mother of Chloe. She is also survived by her beloved mother, Ms. Miu Ling Yue; three brothers Derek, Daniel & Jimmy; two sisters Heidi & Flora; five nieces Evelyn, Sharon, Marty, Irene & Averi; two nephews Ignas & Jaden. Preceded in death by her beloved father Mr. Ban Leung.

She has always been a loving, caring and giving person. Her final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ donation so that others may live. Ellen will be sorely missed by all her friends, families and all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 starting at 10:45am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres (375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, ON, CANADA, M4T 2V8), follow by burial service at 12pm. Due to current COVID-19 gathering restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only. The service will however, be livestreamed for public viewing.
