Üksik , Ella (née Väljas) passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in Toronto. Born in Estonia, Ella was the youngest of three children born to Joonas and Aline Väljas. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Leander and brothers Artemi and Leonard. Ella will forever be remembered as a loving, kind, gracious friend and relative. She was the best aunt to her three nephews (Steven, Michael and Peter.) Ella’s hospitality, culinary skills and large parties were legendary. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Ella’s life will take place at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto (north of Sheppard, west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. followed by interment at York Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Ehatare Nursing Home for their kind and loving care of Ella during her time there. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Estonian Foundation, or charity of choice.
