In memory of

Ella Allan

March 14, 1937 -  July 28, 2022

Passed away peacefully in Perth, ON.

Ella was born in Melville, Saskatchewan. Ella will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, her laughter and her ever present smile. The third of four children, Ella leaves behind her sister Stella and brother Andy and was predeceased by her brother Peter and her loving husband Bill.

Ella grew up in Melville and shortly after finishing high school, worked in Regina then came to Toronto to find her dreams. She started her lifelong career working at Trans-Canada Airlines in 1959 as a stewardess and met the love of her life Bill Allan. They married on August 17, 1965 and were blessed with two boys: Chris & Greg.

Together, Ella and Bill were successful in love and life providing a loving home for their children and Ella’s parents. Through selfless dedication to her family Ella made sure that her children had every opportunity she did not have. In retirement Ella volunteered with the Oakville Food Bank and Hospital. She had a love of the theatre and was active in golf, Tai Chi and hiking, having completed the 900km Bruce Trail from end to end. She doted over her grandchildren whenever she had the chance.

She leaves behind her loving children Chris (Christine), Greg (Marly) and her four grandchildren, Ben, Luke, Sophie, and Samuel.

Ella exemplified all we hoped we could be. She was kind, generous and wise.
Never spoke ill of anyone. Supportive to many.
It was a privilege to know her and work with her.

I met Ella when we were both volunteering at Oakville Fareshare Foodbank many years ago and our friendship grew from then on. One day Ella asked me if I wanted to take golf lessons with her so that started our weekly golf games for several years. Another time Ella said "do you want to take adult education computer lessons?" so that led to our still limited knowledge of the the computer. But we always enjoyed our time together especially our coffees at Tims where on many occasions her Air Canada friends joined us. We always had so much to say.....

A lovely person both inside and out. I will miss her very much!

Rest in peace my dear friend.
