In loving memory of our mother, a one-of-a-kind woman who faced many challenges throughout her life.

She moved from Frankenholz, Germany with her husband Josef Johannes Petrik (predeceased) on November 5, 1970.

Our dear mother was headstrong, fiercely independent, vibrant and lived for her children and grandchildren. She taught us to be kind, selfless, love life to its fullest and to be happy.

Elizabeth was the beloved mother of infant son Josef (predeceased), Marika (Adam), Robert, Erika (Russell), Eva and Susanne (Attila). Adored grandmother of Jessica, Matthew, Kristina, Natasha, Rebecca, Brittany, Joshua, Jonah, Adrian and Bryan.
A great grandmother of Logan, Madison, Elizabeth and Jade.

She will long be remembered for her strong and open heart to all. We will miss you mama, anyu and nagymama.

Funeral service will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 160 Beecroft Road,
North York, ON (416) 221-3404). Visitation from 1 - 2 p.m., service at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at York Cemetery Visitation Centre.

In Loving Memory of our Mother, an exceptional, headstrong, intelligent yet human who faced many challenges throughout her life, yet pressed on with faithful diligence despite her solitary life, with the exception of a small circle of friends. The backbone of her strength was her Faith in the God of Heaven and Eart. She was often consoled by the suffering of Mary, the Mother of Jesus finding comfort in her life.
