In memory of

Elizabeth Irene Mundy

September 30, 1940 -  May 27, 2021

MUNDY, ELIZABETH IRENE (nee WOOLNER) With sorrow, profound and terrible, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Elizabeth Irene Mundy (nee Woolner), on May 27, 2021, in her 81st year. A former high school teacher and active in numerous charities, Elizabeth, a proud native of Prince Edward Island, brought grace, humour and a quiet passion to all her pursuits. Her charm, warmth and kindness was felt by, and will be missed by, all who knew her; friends, family and acquaintances. Elizabeth was an avid golfer, cyclist and gardener and the most welcoming of hosts. She loved plants, she loved animals... she loved life, and lived every day to its utmost. Elizabeth always viewed her world and those fortunate enough to be part of it, in the most positive and generous light. She will be hugely missed. Elizabeth was wife to Richard MacPherson, widow to George Henry (Bud) Mundy and step-mother to Steven Mundy (wife Debbie Russell) and David Mundy (wife Sandra Mundy). Daughter of Emily and Arthur Woolner, Elizabeth was sister to Stewart Woolner (wife Karen Woolner), and to Florence Woolner, and aunt to: Ken Woolner (wife Christine Woolner); Greg Woolner (wife Julia Woolner); Debbie Bakker (husband Paul Bakker); Andrea Woolner (husband John Falsetto); and to Shannon Woolner (partner Pete Szabo). Elizabeth was also great-aunt to Sean Woolner, Clementine Woolner, Phoebe Woolner, Emily Woolner, Erika Woolner, Michelle Woolner, Logan Woolner, Adam Bakker, Alex Bakker, Graham Falsetto, Adriana Falsetto, and Katherine Falsetto. Elizabeth also leaves behind her brothers-in-law Douglas MacPherson (wife Joan MacPherson); Gary MacPherson, (wife Laura MacPherson); Shawn MacPherson; and sister-in-law Melinda MacPherson. Elizabeth was "mother" to the cat Finnegan, and dearest friend to so many others. Cremation and interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, joined by a small family ceremony. A Celebration of Elizabeth's Life will be held at the Salvation Army Willowdale Citadel, the date for which has yet to be determined. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Salvation Army (416-225- 7968).

My condolences to the family and friends of Liz. Such sad news to hear of this lovely lady passing. I looked forward to seeing her name in my schedule for her dental appointments. Liz always took an interest to ask about my life and our shared interest in cycling. What a bright star she was, always so gracious, always so kind. I will truly miss seeing her and hearing about her next adventure. Rest in peace Liz. you were loved dearly.

Elizabeth the day you left us God received another angel. You were a bright light to many of us so we will see you twinkling in the sky above.
