It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Elizabeth McGarvey on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 99 years. Born in Northern Ireland on March 19, 1923 to Thomas and Elizabeth Bayne. She married George McGarvey in February of 1944. They came to Canada in September 1952 to begin a new chapter of life in the Canada. In November1961 after 17 years of marriage, they welcomed their first son Kenneth George. In September 1963 they welcomed their second son, James Andrew. In November 1976 the Lord welcomed George home, leaving Betty to raise her two boys. Betty remained in the same Scarborough home for 62 years.

Betty was an incredibly devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sorely missed by all.
