In memory of

Elizabeth Marguerite Fleming

April 15, 1924 -  March 14, 2022

In her 97th year Elizabeth Fleming (nee Forbes) passed away at Coleman Care in Barrie. Predeceased by her mother Annie Forbes, her sisters Marian Downey and Alberta Seeley and her special niece Susan Elizabeth Downey White. Loving mother of Sterling (Roberta) Fleming, Baby Robert James - predeceased, Patti (Dennis) Soper and Anne (Mike) Rausch. Immensely proud and much loved Grandma of Derek, Katie (Cole), Ryan (Caitlyn), Michael (Megan) and Amanda (JP). Recently, her wish came true to see her great-granddaughter Willa. She will be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Elizabeth at a very young age moved on her own from Sault Ste Marie to Toronto to find work. She eventually made Mississauga her home and was happiest there until a couple of years ago when she could no longer live alone.

Mom was in her element during dance performances for many years at the Mississauga Cawthra Senior’s Centre with family in the audience.

Mom lived a full life with its challenges and joys.

You are at peace now Mom. Your memory is a keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in His keeping. We have you in our hearts.

Sending lots of love to help fill the void left by the farewell of this larger than life personality. Although I never had the honour of meeting her, I enjoyed hearing stories of her active life and stylish affectations. Her powerful genes have been passed down: her children and future generations will continue to bring beauty and style to us lesser mortals.
