Elizabeth passed peacefully at home on August 16, 2024, with her daughter and her good friend by her side. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Jacqueline (Chris), her grandson Matthew, her granddaughter Jaleesa and her half-siblings Lisa and Ann. Also left to cherish her memory are her many nieces and nephews and several close friends who she considered family.

She was the daughter of the late James and Anges Izzard. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son Lawrence (Lonnie) and her siblings Charles, Leona, Joseph, James, Rita, Ernest, and James Jr.

She will also be missed by her loyal fur companion Major Cosmo.

Elizabeth Marcella Izzard (Liz/Betty) was born on March 20, 1948, in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia. She lived life to its fullest, often traveling and embracing new experiences and cultures.

As per Elizabeth’s request, a private burial will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the following charities which were dear to Elizabeth: Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Casey House.
