In memory of

Elizabeth Graham Hewitt

September 29, 1943 -  April 18, 2023

Elizabeth Graham Cairns Hewitt (1943 – 2023) – affectionately known as “Betty” to her family and friends and “Gaga” to her grandchildren. Predeceased and now reunited with her love, Norman (2013). She leaves behind her children Jim (Wendy), Phyllis (Chris), George (Melanie) and her most beloved grandchildren Robert, Bianca, Spencer, Brodie, Brooke, Gabe and Eliana and many loved ones from around the world. Betty was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland where she spent most of her formative years. As an adult with young children, her and Norman travelled the world in search of a better life for their family landing in Canada in 1977 to their forever home. Betty set a great example for women – she was brave, bold, witty, resilient beyond anyone we knew; always going the endless mile for her family; willing, devoted and committed. She left a lifetime of fond memories for her children and grandchildren. The family will have a small graveside ceremony where Betty will be laid to rest beside her beloved.

Goodnight and God bless mom until we meet again xoxo

My gaga was the best grandma anyone could ask for. She was so caring and generous to anyone around her. Every time I came to her house, she would have some oatmeal, barley water, and some treats laid out for me. She always knew when I was sad or angry and I knew I could talk to her about anything. She always made me feel special and safe, she always made sure i was never too hungry, too cold, or too thirsty, and she always made sure i had a sweater on that day. She will be missed by all.

I hope your dancing in the stars with papa xoxo
