Passed away peacefully at age of 96 in Toronto. Loving wife of Athanasios of 56 years. Beloved Mother of George (Mary) , Ronia (Marc). Proud Grandmother of Victoria Grace and Joshua. Cherished sister of George(Halina) , Sulla (John). Predeceased by her sisters Kiki (Paul) , Mary (John) and her brother Nick. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Elizabeth Gortsos was the most amazing woman in my life. I've known plenty of people, but none as absolutely loving and devout as her. She cared about me and loved me ever since the day I had moved to Toronto to live with her. She was a magnificent grandmother, but an even more magnificent person. I... We, will all miss her greatly. I know she is gone, but I know even more strongly that she is not suffering any longer.
