In memory of

Elizabeth Falconer

August 6, 1922 -  January 24, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Falconer, from natural causes, in her 96th year, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. "Betty", beloved wife of George (2006), loving Mother of Helen Tamblyn (Ron) and David Falconer (Elaine Shin), and proud Grandmother of Campbell and Sarah. She will be deeply missed.

Many lifelong friends will fondly remember Elizabeth for her engaging and friendly personality. Family was the cornerstone of her life, and gatherings were always special due to the love and attention she put into every detail, especially the cookies! She took great pride in her garden and enjoyed both the labour and the rewards of working the soil.

Elizabeth was a dedicated volunteer to various charities, including the Red Cross and CNIB. She was a long time member and committed supporter of the United Church of Canada.

The family thanks all relatives and friends for their support, kind words and prayers. Deepest appreciation goes to the staff of Lakeshore Lodge for their compassionate care. Support from the Palliative care unit of St Joseph’s Hospital is also greatly appreciated.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 1:00 p.m. (visitation at 12:00 p.m.) followed by a reception, at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.

We are sorry to hear of Auntie Betty passing away. We, mum and dad and I were chatting last night, and we remember how kind both Auntie Betty and Uncle George were to us when we arrived from Scotland. Mum and Dad said they will never forget what they did for them. Mum and Dad are sorry but they wont be able to attend the service, Mum has trouble breathing and cant do long trips outside any more. We will be thinking of you all on Saturday. with love, Kathy and John and Mo
