Elie Galanis

May 15, 1933 -  September 24, 2024

Surrounded by the love of his family, Elie passed away peacefully on September 24th at the age of 91. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Martha and their children Gus and Bill. Loving father-in-law, Penny and Elaine and grandfather, Elijah, Hope, Sofia, and Elliott. Elie grew up in a large family and will be missed by his nieces, nephews, and their families. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Elgin Mills Cemetery from 4pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church starting at 10am.

My dearest Θείο Louie. I miss you. I miss you.
I have a broken aching heart and I am not the only one. You touched so many people with your quiet, gentle and humble ways. You were more than a kind brother, beloved husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a dear friend to many.
You were a true and generous brother to my mother, Marina and my siblings. You helped us quietly and very generously from the day we landed in Canada back in November 1966 and you never asked for anything in return. You did good Theo.
You did really good.

It saddened us to know that you were in pain and suffering a lot this past little while. It still hurts just thinking about it. You have a special place in my heart and in my heart you will always stay. Θείο Louie may you rest in Tranquility and Peace. Αιώνια η μνήμη σου.

My dearest Nouna, Gus (Penny) and Bill (Elaine),

Our heartfelt condolences, I am so sorry for your loss. As well to all extended family, our thoughts and prayers...

May all the memories of him be everlasting, as he was loved by everyone. Sending all our love, he was one of a kind. I cherish all the memories from when I was little visiting the house, and will miss him dearly.
