In memory of

Elicia Yun Sun Tam

January 4, 1960 -  November 13, 2021

Elicia Yun Sun Tam passed away peacefully this morning on Saturday November 13 2021, at the age of 61, surrounded by family.

Beloved Wife of Ian Irving; Daughter of Kwai Lan Tam and Chung Lok Tam; Sister of Gallan (Lynda), Tam (Ted), Stella (Steve), Denise (John) ; Aunt to Carolyn (Erin), Jeffery, Jaclyn (Ronen), Jeananne (Robert), Jason (Amber), Jon (Alisa), Joyce (Corey); Great Aunt to Ella, Cohen, Bruno, Savannah, Charlotte, and Ulysses.

Born in Hong Kong in 1960 where she attended St. Catharine’s School for Girls (Kwun Tong) [https://www.scsg.edu.hk], Elicia immigrated to Canada in 1977. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a BS in Economics before returning to Hong Kong. She came back to Toronto in 1989 where she continued her career in the investment operations side of finance, notably at CitiBank, TD and Manulife. Several years after meeting Ian at a tennis club social, they married in 1997, and made a home in west end Toronto. Elicia was a passionate and meticulous home chef, an avid traveller and skier, and a warm person who laughed easily.

She will be missed dearly.

Very sad to see you leaving us Elicia! I miss our great time together drinking coffee, dining, chatting and laughing about everything! We did not see each other very often but we had unlimited topics to talk about for hours every time we were together! May you rest in peace and I will always miss your infectious laughter!

Dear Elicia and Ian,
I'm not sure if you remember me, the cousin of Maria and the girl who worked at the jewellery store at Yorkville. The last time we met was a nice little stroll by Yorkville. I remember the Jazz festival, the quick lunches and 30min walks in the neighbourhood I had with Elicia. It was always fun and lots of laughters! Of course the very first time at your house with my cousin many years ago. You guys are the best and amazing couple! You are always in my prayers and our hearts. We love you Elicia and Ian stay strong and may the Lord be with you as always.
Love,
Victoria & Erle and my girls Jaime & Jessica the new born (she was born in September after my last messages with Elicia in August 2021)
P.S. I wish I was there more often for you before you go. You are always in my heart my dear friend, mentor and Big Sis!
