In memory of

Elfriede Luthardt

January 30, 1936 -  May 21, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Elfriede Luthardt on May 21, at her home, at the age of 87 with her family by her side after a 17 month battle with cancer.

She will be forever remembered and missed by her daughter Karen (Joe) and their triplets, Catherine (Thomas), Christina (David) and Adam (Alessia). She is predeceased by her soulmate of 50 years, Max (2007) and her grandson Christopher (1995).

Elfriede will be sadly missed by Nonna Chiara, her brother Ecki (Evelyn), brother in law Peter and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Pastor Laughridge, Dr. Hal Berman, Nurse Dana who cared for Elfriede from December 2021, her many PSWs, especially Juanita, and her home care coordinators, Angela and Sandy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Oma,
You will be missed very much. It was an extreme privilege to know you. I will never forget all the great times we had together, whether is be at the cottage or eating cabbage rolls and potato salad around your dinner table with Catherine and the family. I still remember your smile from the very first day we met, you were wearing your lovely green blazer and had a great time. Unfortunately your time was cut short, nonetheless, you will be dearly missed.

Rest in Peace, Oma.
