Ellie Coon was one of my mother’s close friends though I met her only a few times. Her parents, Burwell and Hilda were great friends of my grandparents, Paul and Clara Mills, and we were taken as children to their wonderful house on Mildenhall. Sadly my mother died at the age of 23 giving birth to me and my twin sister, after less than a year of marriage, but looking at her diary, I see many references to Ellie Coon, especially in the last week of her life. I wish I could have spoken to Ellie more often to know my mother better, but I am glad she had a long long life and four children.
My deepest condolences to all the family
