March 31, 1925 - October 30, 2016

Eleanor Crisp (nee Hurd) at Shepherd Lodge on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 91 with her daughter and granddaughter at her side after a long journey with Alzheimer’s. Beloved wife of 68 years to the late John Crisp. Loving Mom to Jan, David (Nancy) and Barb. Very proud Grandma to Shannon (James) and Martin (Kristen) and Great-Grandma to Ryan. Sister to Ed (Betty). Predeceased by her sisters Ann, Mary and Thel. Heartfelt thanks to the special people on the 2nd floor at Shepherd Lodge who cared for Mom. Visitation will take place at the Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Toronto on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 12 noon to time of service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto or the Shepherd Village Foundation.

What a lovely smile and sweet nature, she has passed along to her daughter Jan.

Jan, your dedication to your mom and the other residents, families and staff of Shepherd Lodge has been a blessing for many years. Thank-you for the patient, cheerful, love and devotion you gave your mom even as she weakened mentally and physically. Hugs to you for being a fabulous daughter and friend. You both will be missed at Shepherd Lodge.
