It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ekaterini Artemissia (Kathryn) Lavdas (nee Ventzos) on September 22, 2016 at the Rouge Valley Hospital, aged 83 years.
Predeceased by her husband Vassilios (Bill) Lavdas . Cherished mother of Nia Patterson (Michael) and Dina Gray (David). She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her granddaughters Erin Gray (Kevin), Belinda and Stefanie.
She is survived by a sister, nieces, nephews, many family members in the US and Greece and godson Mike Apostolopoulos and family.

Kathryn and Bill came to Canada from Greece in 1956 and first settled in Montreal where their 2 daughters were born. They later moved to Toronto. After her husband’s passing in 1977, she took over the hardware retail store with the other two partners and worked there till her retirement. Kathryn was very kind and loving. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and talking to her wonderful neighbours as they strolled by.
