Passed away peacefully on Friday December 2, 2022, at age 96. Rye was predeceased by his beloved wife Clara (née Grandolfi) and brother William. He will be greatly mourned by his daughters Laura, Janet, and Maria,
grandchildren Charles (Rachel), Gwendolyn, and Daniel, sons-in-law Stuart and Finn, as well his cherished extended family in Boston and the many friends whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 1 pm at Glebe Road United Church, 20 Glebe Road East, Toronto. Memorial donations may be made to Nature Conservancy of Canada or a charity of one’s choosing. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through Pine Hills Funeral Centre www.etouch.ca

Rye enjoyed gardening like myself so we had many,interesting conversations over the fence. Thank you, Janet, for informing us of his passing as I did miss his occasional emails once we left Allangrove. Ken and I are sincerely sorry for the loss of your father. Ken and Phyllis
