Efstratia "Effie" Ryan (nee Arvanitelis)

Surrounded by her children, Efstratia passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 11th, 2020. She is succeeded by her mother, Aspasia Arvanitelis, and her brother, Christos Arvanitelis. She will also be remembered and cherished by her loving extended family and her dearly valued friends. As an active member of the Greek Orthodox community, Efstratia proudly served as the Secretary of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church for the past 13 years. Her dedication to the church will be remembered fondly by all.

Words are not enough to describe our saddness for the loss of our dear Effie. We will always remember her bright smile, her kind eyes, and her warm and welcoming heart. She was a true lady, with dignity and honor. God was her guide and protector and her love for God, her family and friends was boundless. Our thoughts and prayers to you, her family, at this difficult time. She will be missed dearly and be remembered fondly. I will miss you my friend. My heart cries for you. When I see your children I will remember you and your bright smile. May your memory be eternal.

Efy mou may God rest your beautiful soul. He saw you in pain and He knew you were tired. You raised two beautiful children and they have beautiful families. You lived to see your two grandchildren who were blessed to have met you. Your family and friends will miss you and your beautiful soul. May your memory be forever eternal my dear friend.

Dear Effie,
You were an excellent person, very dedicated to everything you did and a very devout Orthodox Christian who always shared love and forgiveness! You always cared for others and you were there always to support everyone as you did with me as well when i first came to Canada! I am sure you enjoy Heavens and you participate in Gods love in eternity since you only knew love! I will remember you in my humble prayers and by Gods grace we meet again in paradise! May your memory be eternal!
Rest in peace! ✝️
