In Loving Memory of Edward John Baker.

Edward passed away on July 4th 2021 at the Scarborough Grace Hospital. He was 86 years old at the time of his passing. Husband of the late Martha Ann Baker (Nee Holt). Survived by his daughter Cathy Barnett (wife of Roger) and his two sons Douglas (husband to Judy) and Allan (husband to Jacey), as well as his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He will be interred with his wife on September 21, 2021 at 1pm by family

Eulogy of Edward Baker:

Dad... Not sure how to start this but know you were loved deeply by your family. You will never be forgotten! Dad, I will not get long winded but take solace in knowing that you had a long, loving marriage. You brought all of us up and from what I know, you did a great job. Well Dad, it's time to say goodbye, give Mom a kiss from all of us. Love you Dad!

I have nothing but good memories of Ed from our first meeting, (in my ‘teens)… to now, (no longer in my ‘teens).
He was a warm and wonderful person, a great jokester, always ready with a joke or a laugh.
He also had a generosity of spirit to welcome you and make you feel comfortable.

Dad,
We have a lot in common from our dry sense of humor to making others feel comfortable.
You always had the ability to make friends and keep them close to you.
Your primary focus was always about family and ensuring we were never without.
You have always been supportive in our sports endeavors from swimming to Hockey you were always there cheering us on from kids to grandkids.
Both you and Mom made us feel loved and protected and I will miss you very much!
