In memory of

Edward Henry Walker

May 4, 1933 -  March 2, 2024

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Edward Walker on Saturday March 2, 2024, at the age of 90.

Ted was predeceased in 2022 by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy. Their love was never ending.

His focus in life was always his family. A wonderful husband, a doting father to daughters Karen and her husband Bill, Cheryl and her husband Danny and his son Stephen. There was never any doubt they were loved.

He was the ‘Best Pappa’ to Nicole, Lauren, Eric, Matthew and Devin. His grandchildren adored him and loved spending time with him, listening to his funny little songs, his stories from times gone by and his words of wisdom. He will always hold a special place in their hearts.

As the remaining patriarch of his family, he was proud to be the son of John and Grace Walker and sibling to John Walker, Hazel Smith and Coral DiCio. There were many fond memories created with his extended family that will be cherished.

He was also very proud of his former career at Imperial Oil Limited where he worked for over 38 years.

Ted was a source of light, love and laughter in our lives that will shine on forever. We love you and will miss you so much.

To my dearest Dad: My heart is broken. Not only were you the greatest Dad, but you were also one of my best friends. My life will not be the same without you in it. You always put your family first and made sure we all knew we were loved and cherished. Your generous nature, your loving heart and your kind and gentle demeanour will be missed. You were such a huge influence in our lives, a hole has been left. You gave us all so many happy memories to cherish. You are loved deeply and will be missed dearly. We’ll love you forever and miss you for always. I am so honoured to be your daughter.
Love you with all of my heart, Karen xxxx

Dear Ted: You always welcomed me into your home and heart and I will always be grateful for that. You taught me the importance of family and many life-long skills, thanks for that “Teddy Thumbs Walker”. I’ll always remember our times together golfing, being at the cottage, having family functions at the house, watching hockey, and sharing a beer or a Drambuie on ice.
Thank you for helping to mould your granddaughters Nicole and Lauren into the fine women that they are today. Your love, advice and support meant so much.
I will miss you greatly ‘Ole Bloke, love Bill xoxo

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. He always had a smile on his face. May God see you through these difficult times and may you find comfort in the circle of family and friends that share in your grief. Losing a parent at any age is always such a profound sorrow.
Rest in peace Uncle Ted, you're with Aunt Dorothy now.
