Michelle Burt
July 12, 1949 - March 4, 2017

Michelle Burt passed away on March 4 at Sunnybrook Hospital after a brief illness. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Lauri Teikari and her two sons, Stephen Burt and Geoffrey Burt.

Michelle's career was dedicated to the service of others. She worked as a social worker and later taught quilt making to cancer patients at Sunnybrook Hospital's Wellspring centre.

Michelle lived an active and healthy life. Her hobbies included reading, travel, hiking, cycling, skiing and running.

She was a remarkably compassionate person who was always willing to help others in need. Her friends and family will deeply miss her wise counsel and her sense of humour.

Visitation at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre 375 Mount Pleasant Road (east gate entrance) on Saturday March 11 at 10am followed by a Service in our Chapel at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Bruce Trail Conservancy. To send online condolences, please visit www.etouch.ca
