After a long, hard-fought battle with cancer, Eddie Malinit Victorio passed away peacefully at the Queensway Trillium Hospital on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Eddie was born in the Philippines July 11, 1946.
He is survived by his wife Shelley, and two sons Benjamin and Brandon. He is also survived by his brother Fred (Alvie) of Mississauga, and sister Erlinda Pascual and brother Benny (Linda) Victorio of the Philippines. Predeceeased by his Parents Vuenavendura and Estelita Victorio and Father-in law Warren Giffen. Eddie worked at the Queen Street Mental Hospital for many years as a Registered Nurse. During his retirement he enjoyed gardening and dancing. Special thanks to Dr. Gapski and staff at the Sherway Trillium Health Centre for their care and concern during the past three 1/2 years; and to the staff on the sixth floor at the Queensway Trillium Hospital for their care during his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends are invited to meet with the family at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga on Saturday, March 23. Visitation from 10 – 11 followed by the funeral service at 11am. Reception to follow. There will be a celebration of life at the #101 Legion, 3850 Lakeshore Blvd., West, Mississauga on Saturday, March 30 from 1-3.
