Dr. Eddie Eng Chin Cheah passed away peacefully on October 18, 2018 at the age of 78. Deeply loved by his wife of 51 years Ellen Miao Siang and their two sons Henry (Gillian) and David. Proud grandfather of Sophie, Andrew and Emily.

Eddie is also survived by his brothers Boon Wah, Boon Giap, and Eng Kean as well as his sisters Siew Lan, Siew Gaik, and Janet Shew Kee. Greatly missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Eddie’s unwavering kindness and generosity to his family will forever be appreciated.

Eddie was born on February 7, 1940 in Lunas, Malaysia to Cheng Joo Cheah and Geok Khaw. With great pride they saw him receive his medical degree from National Taiwan University in 1964. He practised as a dedicated paediatrician in Oshawa, Ontario for almost 40 years only interrupting his career intermittently to pursue his lifelong passion for travel.

Visitation and reception will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1:30-4:30pm at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada will be appreciated.
