Dusan Golubovic

September 24, 1951 - December 4, 2020

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dusan Golubovic on December 4th, 2020 at the Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, age 69.
Survived by his wife Mirjana Besir and beloved daughter Aleksandra.
Dusan was an electrical engineer, born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. He was an adored father who loved cooking, swimming, skiing, spending time on the beach, with friends and family, with a good glass of wine.
He is dearly loved and will forever live on in our hearts. We will miss his smile, his warmth, kindness and generosity.
In memory of Dusan, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Hospital (Donate.Sunnybrook.ca) would be greatly appreciated by the family. We are thankful to the compassionate doctors and nurses at the hospital.
Funeral will be arranged privately by his family.

Primite naše iskreno saučešće povodom velikog gubitka koji vas je zadesio. Dušan je radio samnom u Beogradu, u Elektoprivredi. Zahvaljujući njemu, kada je, na žalost, morao da da otkaz da bi došao u Kanadu, ja sam dobila stalni posao, njegovu poziciju. I njegov radni sto, u kome je ostala jedna mala knjižica o Kanadi. Mnogo puta sam je čitala, i tačno deset godina posle njegovog dolaska u Toronto, moja porodica se tu doselila. Videli smo se davno kada je on u Manulife-u radio na kratko. Nisam mogla da verujem Banetu da Dule nije više sa nama... Toliko me važnih životnih dogadjaja i odluka veže za Duška.

I am so saddened to hear of Dusan's untimely passing. I didn't know him for long, but what I did get to know was what a wonderful, giving man he was. In the time I got to know him he spoke so highly of his family, his passions for engineering and his hobbies. In the brief time I knew him I got the sense that he always put others ahead of himself. My heart goes out to his family and close friends and hope that his memory will be a blessing and a comfort in the coming days, weeks and months ahead.
