Passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022, after a short period of illness at Cortelucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan.

Predeceased by his wife, Pepi (d. 2012). Loving father of Chris, Michael and Joanna, father-in-law of Lorna and Lee, and grandfather to his much beloved grandchildren Kristin, Ashton, Caleb, Emma, Connor, Brandon, Ethan and Scott. He is also predeceased by his sister-in-law Ermioni Lebedev and brother-in-law Alec Lebedev. Loving uncle to nephews Aristotle (Sanae) and Edward Lebedev. He also leaves behind many members of his extended family and dear friends in the Romanian community in Toronto and in Romania.

Born in the village of Straja (later, Stejaru), Neamt region, Romania, he met the love of his life, Pepi in Falticeni while he was stationed there as an officer. They eventually moved to Vatra Dornei and lived there until 1988 when they immigrated to Canada to join many members of the extended family. Dinu, as most people knew him, enjoyed a long career as a lawyer in Romania and made the brave decision to immigrate to Canada at age of 50 to offer his family a better life and future. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, loving, caring and gentle nature, positive and calm disposition, love for dancing and above all, the love and dedication to his family.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 5th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd., E, Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 7th at 11:00am.
