PAYNE, DULCIE MARIE (nee CHANT) February 4, 1933 - June 4, 2024 Passed peacefully, in her 92nd year, at Port Perry Hospital with her daughter and favourite (only) son-in-law by her side. She is now together with her beloved husband, Cecil; and sister, Joyce. Loving mother of Brenda (Gary). Adoring grandmother to Christopher and Andrew (Trisha). Beloved sister to George (Rosie). Loving aunt to Calvin (Peggy), Jessie (Mason), Cherice (Russ), Vernon (Shona), Lynda (Ken), Morris (Sandra), Linda, Sherry (Brian), and Lonnie (Liz). Widowed at 55, two time cancer survivor, she lived a full, strong, independent life. Our thanks to the staff at West Shore Village retirement home for the love and care shown to her for her last few months. She was truly thankful for all of your kindness and care. A very special thank you to all of the staff at Port Perry Hospital during her palliative and previous stays. Your kindness, tenderness and compassion for her and her family during her final days was truly remarkable. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation. Cremation, followed by interment at Pine Hills Cemetary. A private family funeral will be held at a later date as per her wishes.
