It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Dr. Cecil Edgar Harricharan aged 93, and recipient of The Cacique Crown of Honor (2020),
of 57 Bel Air Springs and Novar Mahaicony.
He passed peacefully on May 31st, 2022 in Toronto Canada surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the son of the Late Joaquin and Liliah Harricharan of Novar Mahaicony.
Husband of Chandra Harricharan.
Father of Kalpana, Priya and Tanu and the late Kamla.
Father in law of Dr. Raj Singh, Paul Fiorini, Habib Rangi and Bob Bayney
Grandfather of Sasha, Karishma, Shane, Angelina, Diya, Ashna and Annika.
Brother of Dr. Clifford Harricharan, Latchmin Prashad, Camo D’Avrincourt and the late Leonard and Humphrey Harricharan.
Brother in law of Pabitree Harricharan, George D’avrincourt, Kamal Harricharan, Hemwatttie Surujpaul, Rajlakhie and Johnny Dalip, Dr. Ganraj and Diawantee Kumar, and the late Bhola Prashad, Ramoodit Surujpaul, Anoopwattie Behari, Sunpati Permaul, David Persaud and Toolsie Persaud.
Cousin of Percy Bikram, Leila Robertson , Betty Jadubans, Sookram Mohan, Dhanmat Singh, Devika Bassoo, Latchmin Raghubans, Dusanty Dindial, and others.
Uncle of the Late Dr. Rajendra Harricharan, Sylvia D’Avrincourt, Chitra Prashad, Ravi Harricharan, Dennis Dalip, Donna Persaud, Michael Persaud, Vikram Kumar, the late Aleena Datadin, Rajendra Permaul and others.
The Funeral and cremation of the late Dr. Cecil Edgar Harricharan will be held in Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada on Friday May 3rd June 2022.
We are grateful for his love, humility, dedication and service to his family and community.
