In memory of

Douglas Scott Myles

October 12, 1956 -  June 12, 2022

Douglas Scott Myles died unexpectedly on June 12, 2022 at the age of 65. Doug is survived by his wife Shelly Gregg; his children Matthew (Sarah), Quinton, Shaelyn, and Madison; his granddaughter Isla; his brother Brad; mother of his boys and dear friend, Tanya; Mother in law Antoinette and brother in law Mike. He is predeceased by his mother Isabelle, father Donald, brother Blair, and sister-in-law Irene.

Doug was born on October 12, 1956 to Isabelle and Donald Myles in Scarborough, Ontario. Doug was an intelligent man who earned a diploma and worked for Borden Chemical in the early 1980’s. In his 40’s, he went back to school as a mature student earning the title of paralegal. He then worked many years at Hard-Co Construction in Whitby, Ontario at the helm of their dispatch. His most treasured “job” was that of Dad. He helped raise two successful young men, Matt and Quin, and took on the role of Dad to Shaelyn. Most recently, he met little Isla Jane Myles who was the light of his life.

Doug enjoyed trips on his Harley Davidson, going to see movies with his sons, taking Matt, Quin, and Shaelyn to concerts, and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs with Shelly.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022 at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre in Scarborough. In lieu of flowers, Doug’s family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Mental Health Association found on the donations page.
