Douglas Irvine Gardner December 14, 1933 - December 12, 2021, peacefully in Midland, Ontario. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth and Victor, and devoted wife, Donna (nee Law). He is survived by loving sons Stephen (Paula), Rodger (Wendy), and Kenneth (Marika), and grandchildren Wesley (Jacqueline), Leanne, Megan (Cody), Cody (Andrea), Zachary, and great grandson Rhys.

A proud resident of Toronto from birth to late retirement years, Doug recently moved full-time to the sunny shores of Georgian Bay, where he spent summers throughout his childhood and adult life at the cottage with family and friends.

A visitation will take place at York Cemetery and Funeral Service Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a private family internment.

Doug’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and hospital staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital for their outstanding care of Doug during his time in their charge.
