In memory of

Dosta Novachefski

January 21, 1935 -  November 20, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cherished and loving mother and Baba, Dosta Novachefski (Janakievski) on November 20, 2024 at the age of 89. She has joined her late and much loved husband Peter (Peco) Novachefski. Devoted mother (mother-in-law) of Walter (Judy) and Mary (Mike). Wonderful and adored Baba to Julian, Alyssa and Alana.

Dosta was one of four children born to Mitra Janakievski (Nikolovski) and Boze Janakievski in Velusina /Bitola Macedonia. She came with her mother to Canada in 1958 to join her father and to start a new life in Canada. On November 1, 1960 she married the love of her life Peco, and spent 46 happy years together raising their family. Dosta has always been very proud of her Macedonian heritage and was dedicated to her Macedonian religion, along with being a very proud Canadian.

Dosta’s pride and joy was her family. She loved to cook, bake and entertain them. She always looked forward to family gatherings especially when able to spend time with her grandchildren. Dosta will be sadly missed by family, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice is appreciated.

So sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person who I have had the pleasure of seeing often when I would stop by the house to see Walter. She was always kind and welcoming, and always with a beaming smile. My sincerest condolences to the entire family.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Your mom was a wonderful woman who I’ve had the privilege of meeting and shared many conversations with her on the phone when she’d call to speak with my mom. (Rhoda Ricalis)
She always spoke with such love about her kids and grandkids, what she cooked and ate, and what she did in the garden that particular day, or her walking and shopping at No Frills. She was so bright and always asked about my children. I loved being home when she called.
Also Mey Mallinos asked me to extend her heartfelt condolences to the family, they were wonderful friends and Mey will cherish the memories
May Dosta rest in Eternal peace.
With love
Mary
