The families of Dorothy Soo (née Chu) are deeply saddened to announce her passing at the age of 100 years on September 21, 2026. Dorothy was born April 21,1926, in Toronto. She was the third child of a family of eight children (6 girls and 2 boys) born to parents who immigrated from China seeking to establish a prosperous life in Canada.

Dorothy’s choice of physiotherapy as a professional career was challenging given the times (female/newcomer), but she excelled and gained a loyal following of patients and recognition within the industry. It was her innate nature to focus on the wellbeing of all of us.

She wed Jack Soo (deceased 2019), the love of her life, in 1964. Their life was fulsome with family events, bowling, ballroom dancing, mah jong moments and much more.
