Dorothy Rachel Beech

October 31, 1930 -  November 7, 2022

It is with great sadness that her family announces her passing at Extendicare Peterborough on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the age of 92.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Dianne Nagy (John Predeceased), Donna Hammond (Murray), and Gordon Ferguson (Julie). She was the grandmother of Carol (Danny), Jaime (Will), Nicole (Matt), Derek (Jason), Warren (Sheryl),  and Landon (Jayden).  Her great- grandchildren: Heather, Lisa, Kira, Brianna (Matt), Joshua, Lucas, Nathan, Tommy, and Riley.  She also leaves behind her great-great-granddaughters Summer and Zoey (predeceased). She will be missed by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of over 62 years Gordon T. Beech, her parents Josephine (Lajoie) Harper, Walter Rhodes and step-dad Roy Harper.

As per Dorothy's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral. There will be a Celebration of Dorothy's Life at a yet to be determined date.

If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

I am very saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. I loved working with Dorothy and being her friend many years ago in Real Estate. My deepest and sincerest condolences to her family. God has gained another Angel.

I loved Aunt Dot for her fun personality. I remember her telling me how her grandkids teased her about her red hair over the years. As she got older, she reminded me so much of her mother, Josephine (Nanny) Harper, especially when her red hair turned white.
My most sincere condolences to all of you. She was a lovely, sweet soul. ❤️
