In memory of

Dorothy Nancy Walker

May 15, 1934 -  April 9, 2022

It is with broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Dorothy Walker on Saturday April 9, 2022, at the age of 87.

Dorothy will be dearly missed by her husband of 66 years Ted; their love will be never ending.

Her biggest role in life was doting mother to daughters Karen and her husband Bill, Cheryl and her husband Danny and her son Stephen.

She was a loving and fun Nanna to Nicole, Lauren, Eric, Matthew and Devin. Her grandchildren adored her and she will always hold a special place in their hearts.

As the eldest sister, Dorothy will be forever remembered by her siblings. There were also many fond memories created with her extended family that will be cherished.

She will be missed by her friends and colleagues from her former career as Registrar at the Canadian Kennel Club, where she worked for many years.

Dorothy was a light in our lives that will shine on forever.

To my dearest Mom: Our hearts are broken. It doesn’t seem real that you are not with us. You are the greatest Mom and Nanna, life will not be the same for all of us without you. You played such an important role in all of our lives, a huge hole has been left. You are loved deeply, and will be missed dearly. We will think of you every day and miss you so much. You have left us with so many treasured memories. We’ll love you forever and miss you for always. Love you with all of my heart, Karen xxxx

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her friends and famiy. She was such a kind person with a great sense of humour. We did enjoy the company of Dorothy and Ted and especially John reminising about their childhood in England and laughing so hard about the many stories she had. Dorothy the last thing you said to us was " I love you " and she was loved by everyone. Rest in peace our darling.

Love John and Kathleen

Dorothy I will miss our many and varied conversations covering all and any subjects some serious some silly but always interjected with our “British” sense of humour. Rest easy, my friend and God Bless. Ann

Mom, I just wanted you to know how much I love you and how I will always be grateful for how you supported me and my family through both good and difficult times. Your sound advice and profound knowledge, always helped me when I was struggling with decisions I had to make.
I’ll miss our weekly coffee breaks when we would share a little gossip and have a few laughs.
Most of all though, I’ll miss you always telling my and my family, that you love us.
You will always be in our thoughts, and our hearts. Until we meet again.
Love, Cheryl xxxxx

We were saddened to hear about the passing of Aunt Dot. We'll always remember her laughter and her love for her family. We remember her last visit to our house with Uncle Ted, and how they both had some great stories to tell. Rest in peace, Aunt Dot, you'll always be remembered.
