December 17th 1942 – February 4th 2025

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Dorothy passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terrace surrounded by her family at the age of 82.

Dorothy was married to her devoted husband Darryl for 35 years. Together they built a beautiful family with three children, Darlene(Frank), Gord(Yvonne) and Jason(Nichole). She was also the proud Grandma of Jess(Adam), Sarah(Mike), John(Didi), Nick, Ashley, Ellyce and Harlow. Great-Grandma (GG) of Jack, Quinn, Hayden, Rowan, Bailey and Connor. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who truly loved her.

Dorothy is now reunited with her husband Darryl, parents Robert and Ada Geall, mother in law Josephine, brother in laws and sister in laws Burt, Monica, Doug and Marlene.

Visitation will be held at Thorton Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Center, 1200 Thorton Rd N, Oshawa on Sunday February 9th 10 am to 12 pm followed by a funeral service. A reception will follow.

Dorothy will be remembered for her love of family, infectious smile and deep kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region.

I couldn’t have asked for a better and more loving mother-in-law. Her heart always showed so much love for her family and she took me in like I was one of her own! She had such a kind and gentle demeanour and I loved her beautiful soul. Will miss you Momma Jones ♥️
