It is with great sadness we announce Dorothy’s passing on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital, Scarborough at the age of 74. Cherished daughter of the late Elizabeth and Norman Furlotte.

Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. As a Personal Support Worker, Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed caring for people for more than 30 years. She had a great love of all animals, especially her cat “Wolfie”. Music of all genres would be heard in her presence, with the zest for singing and dancing will be how Dorothy will be most fondly remembered by her friends.

Dorothy deeply loved and was proud of her daughter Anne, and two beautiful granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emily of Toronto. She is survived by four brothers, Fred Furlotte of Toronto, Allan Furlotte of Moncton, Leonard Furlotte of Calgary, and Robert (Estelle) Furlotte of Calgary; sister, Margaret Furlotte of Moncton; she is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Furlotte of Moncton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 345, 81 Peard Road, East York on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 3 – 7 p.m.

Donations would be gratefully welcome in Dorothy’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
