It is with profound grief that we announce the passing of Dorothy Maria Scholtens, at Centenary Hospital, Scarborough, Ontario, on Friday, July 16, 2021, at the age of 63. Dorothy was the beloved mother of Danielle and son- in- law David, cherished grandmother of Jordan, Elijah, Maximus and pre-born baby boy, precious sister of Jane and Rita and brother-in-law Tom. She will also be lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many dear friends.
Her warm infectious smile and her warm caring personality exuded grace and acceptance of everyone whom she met. Family meant the world to her and they were often included on her frequent extended trips to her adopted homeland, Jamaica. Besides being an avid listener to different genres of music, she was an outstanding esthetician, waitress, personal support worker and caregiver. She also had a penchant for cooking and baking hence she was widely known as the best banana bread maker!
A private service in celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 and guests have been apprised of the details.
The family would like to thank the medical staff of the Scarborough Network for their compassionate care for Dorothy
