Dorothy Matilda Wheeler

Born April 2, 1926 died peacefully in her home on July 25, 2023 at the age of 97.

Predeceased by husband George Burnell, parents William and Mary Wheeler.
Brother William and sister Rose and son Lloyd.

Mum was a “War Bride” as she met and married our father in 1943, who was WW2 veteran, in England where she was born. She had 7 children, Sharon (Morrie), David, Rodney, Susan (Jimmy), Stephen, Lloyd and Jennifer.
She is loved by her grandchildren Leigh, Jason, Trevor, Michael, Stephanie, Zain, Imman and Sufiyan. Great Grandchildren Brenden, Paul, Logan, Mya, Sydney and William. Great great grandchildren Neveah and Emmet!

Her life was all about her family and cooking. She loved to entertain by having family gatherings around good food and looked good doing it, as she was also a very stylish gal! She had a wonderful English sense of humour that often got her into trouble, but everyone who ever met her, loved her! She would give you the shirt off her back and then some.

She will be terribly missed by all and now she can finally be at peace with her husband and son. God bless her.
