Doris succumbed to cancer on September 12th, at the end of a long, interesting and productive life. She was born on March 19, 1926 in Stuartburn, Manitoba, the second of three daughters born to Anna and Nykyfor Masyk. She spent her childhood on the farm; lived and worked in several places in Manitoba and Ontario before settling in Scarborough in 1958, where she lived for the remainder of her life and where she made many wonderful friends. She was a businesswoman and a world traveller, as well as being very active in federal and provincial politics for many decades.

A funeral mass will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 131 Birchmount Road (South East corner of Danforth Avenue), Scarborough, at 10 am, September 29, 2021. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Animal Welfare Organization of your choice is much appreciated.
